Erbil Citadel November 30, 2016
It is located about 30 meters above the city lies Erbil Citadel, the oldest center of the Iraqi city Erbil, and the ancient continuously occupied settlement in the world. The houses of the citadel are formed a fort-like structure at the outer side, the interior is filled with archways narrow alleys, and brickwork. It was added to the UNESCO’s list of the World Heritage Sites in 2014, based on its immense cultural and historic significance.
